Wedding Planning: 7-8 Months Out

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It’s time for the second Wedding Wednesday post where I will be sharing how my wedding planning is going. Is it just me or did the last month go by extremely fast since I did the first post? I feel like I should’ve gotten more done!

Anyways, here is what I have gotten done since my last post (as you see, some are of my “complete by end of January” things are not done yet- oops).

Newly Completed:

Save the dates// Completely assembled except for addresses (still working out that guest list and collecting :/).
Florist// Booked and flowers are chosen! We are going with E’s florals in Solon.
Bridesmaids dresses// Picked and sent link out to buy!
Guestbook// I splurged and bought a guestbook from Peachwik and I am so in love, it is a canvas all of our guest will write on and then we can display it in our house!
Decor//I have some decor purchased which you can see in my post from last week.
Bridal Shower Booked: I actually WON a bridal shower venue at Little Lights Events in West Branch. I am so excited because it is the cutest place and I got it for free 🙂
Miguel’s Tuxedo// We actually bought this in January but I forgot to include it in last month’s post. We found a super good deal at Men’s Warehouse!

Rest of February To Do

-Find and book a videographer// I need a cheap and good videographer! Suggestions please!
-Find and book a cake baker// I think I know what I have in mind, just need to schedule tastings.
-Finalize the alcohol menu//Using Bread Garden Market in Iowa City for bar services.
-Work on Guest List and Addresses// Seriously why is this so hard??
-Starting to think about where I want my Bachelorette Party//What is fun to do??

And when I say these need to be done by the end of February, I mean it 🙂 I feel super behind so I need to step it up.

And that is how wedding planning is going this month! I hope you all feel filled in 🙂

Let me know what you think in the comments and any suggestions or questions you may have!

  1. Hello! I saw that you purchased a Peachwik guestbook. I am planning my wedding and just found out about these. I was wondering if you received any feedback from your guests if they liked it or if it was easy for them to sign? Was it weird to write on when it was standing up? Any advise is welcomed! Thank you!!

    1. Hi! Yes I received lots of compliments and really loved this as a guest book and I think my guests loved it too! Very easy to write on and now it’s hanging in our house!
