March Book Review

I am so happy that I have been sticking with my goal of one book per month! I am loving it and so glad I have read 3 books that I probably otherwise wouldn’t have. And I am excited to talk about this month’s book! Here’s my review:

The book I read this month is called A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. It tells the story of Charlotte Holmes and Jamie Watson, the distant descendants of the original Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Who both just happen to get shipped to the same American boarding school and you guessed it, have to solve a mystery. They are being framed for a crime, but they have only just met, who would want them both locked up (or dead?). The story does a good job of not only being a good mystery but also of showing Holmes’ and Watson’s new and growing relationship. The author does a good job of using the same characteristics that the original Holmes and Watson have so this would be a fun read for anyone who is into Sherlock. I must say though that they are teenagers and this is a more young adult read than my previous books but still can keep even adults interested in the story line, in my opinion.

This is a classic mystery and will have you trying to solve it the whole way through, but not with out throwing some twists and turns along the way. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and quick read! (I had this done in the first half of the month). You can get your copy here. There is also a sequel out so I will most likely be picking that one up as well!

Have you read this book? What should I be adding to my reading list? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for catching up with me and don’t forget to pick up something to read yourself!

Happy Weekend!
