April Book Review: Big Little Lies

So this month I finally read Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty and let me tell you, I loved it! My book review post is earlier than normal this month because I literally finished this book on April 1st. I couldn’t put it down, it was so so good and engaging the entire time. Here are my thoughts on the book:

-Don’t plan on doing anything else once you start reading it, you won’t be able to put it down and you can’t do anything else.

-I loved how the chapters were super short. I think it kept me even more engaged.

-I have not watched the TV show, everyone says it is amazing. I did watch the trailer after I finished reading though and it does look a little different than the book storyline.

-Before I watched the trailer, I knew that the TV show starred Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon but didn’t know which characters. And while I was reading it, I actually picture Reese as Celeste and Nicole as Madeline. I don’t know, I just saw them in those roles instead.

-I can’t wait to read another one of Moriarty’s books! I think I might pick up The Husband’s Secret for this Summer.

-I think Moriarty is a great story teller and her emotion and characters are just so real.

To finish out the month, I am reading a guidebook my dad gave me for the Island of Kauai because that is where we are going on our honeymoon! It is just a little book that tells you everything you need to know about the island. I figured since I read my April book so fast that I had time to start going through it.

See me next month when I will read the last book in the Miss Peregrine’s series.

Thanks for catching up, have a great weekend!
