Happy Wednesday! Today I will be talking about my hobbies but be sure to read until the bottom for details on my first ever giveaway!
Until pretty recently in my life, if someone asked me what I liked to do for fun or what my hobbies were, I always struggled to come up with anything. I account this to being involved in so many activities in high school (which I guess those were my hobbies then) and then engineering school (aka what is “free time” lol). I like to try new things and sometimes I feel like I try to do too many things, but I think that is because I get bored easily. But lately I have picked up some new hobbies that I hope stick around. One of them being my blog (which you should know all about) and one of them being reading, which I am so glad I have chosen to read one book a month, but that isn’t super exciting to make a post on. That leave me to my other two main hobbies: being a Gold Canyon Candle Consultant and using my Silhouette printer to create things (currently mostly wooden signs). So I thought I would share a little bot more about these hobbies with you!
I have been a Gold Canyon consultant for about a year and a half. I absolutely love their products. They sell candles, warmers, home decor and other things to make your house smell wonderful. While I do get a ~small~ check every month for commission, I don’t sell for an income. I enjoy getting all of the products 25% off (or more) for my one personal use, because I love having smell goods in my house. These candles last forever (like up to 200 hours) and I love that they make great decor too (no labels). I encourage you to check out my website and try out these products if you like smell goods in your home. (I promise these are 10x’s better than Walmart candles.)
I very recently bought my Silhouette printer and have been busy creating signs for my home and family! I love it so much and I have so many ideas of signs I want to make! If you are unfamiliar, the silhouette a “cut printer”. You create a design, and it cuts it into whatever material you put in. I use vinyl to create a sticker that I then use as a stencil to paint over. I also want to try making drencher soon as well. The possibilities are endless with this machine and I can’t wait to see all of the designs I can make. I even purchased my first power tools (a sander and a circular saw) so I can prep wood for signs 🙂
With all of that said, I would like to give you, my readers the chance to experience these hobbies by doing a giveaway! This giveaway includes a mini candle in the scent of Sea Salt Vanilla ($12 value) and a 14×7 Gather sign (you choose white on black or black on white). A name will be announced on Friday May 19th.
