This past weekend, I took a quick trip to one of my favorite places, DISNEY WORLD. This was kind of Bachelorette party number 2 with my sister and my cousin. I was so excited for this trip, not only because I love Disney World and this was my first trip to plan on my own, but because the three of us had been talking about taking a trip to Disney World when “we were grown ups” for like 15 years. It was a short trip – only two weeks – but so much fun!
DAY ONE
We arrived at Orlando Airport and took the Magical Express to our resort. That is one of my favorite things about Disney, if you stay on site they will pick you up at the airport for free!
Once we got to the resort, we ate some lunch at the food court, changed into our new matching shirts and got into our room.
We stayed at the All Star Movies Resort, which is a value resort (so the cheapest of the Disney properties) but that’s the other thing about Disney, even at the value resorts you get the same standard of cleanliness and customer service as any where else at Disney. So our room was nothing fancy but I enjoyed that it had the sink and dressing area outside of the bathroom- which was great for getting ready.
I had little goody bags for everyone that included their magic bands (which are the park ticket and hotel room key!) a schedule and custom Disney hairties.
Then we were ready to head to the parks! First stop: Epcot! Staying at the disney resorts also has the perks of using the bus service to take you to and from the parks.
We explored Epcot for the rest of day. Hitting some rides and then walking through the world showcase countries which I loved!
We met Anna and Elsa and rode the frozen ride which was one of my favorite parts.
Germany was also one of my favorite pavilions – I bought some spaetzle that I could take home to make!
We ate dinner at the Mexico Pavilion, San Angel Inn Restaurant and it was really good. We got Prosecco in Italy and stayed and watched the nighttime fireworks show before heading back to the hotel.
DAY TWO
Day two we were up bright and early Saturday (in our other matching shirts) to head to Animal Kingdom for extra magic hours (another perk of hotel staying). We had the goal of hitting the new Pandora area and riding the brand new rides. We waited for over two hours for Flight of Passage but it was pretty awesome!
We rode a couple of more rides at animal kingdom and ate lunch at Restaurantsourus before heading to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day.
I was so excited to see the Magic Kingdom all decorated for Halloween it was so cool! At MK we rode some of the favorite rides, met princesses and then headed to dinner at Tony’s Town Square restaurant (Italian!). We did get caught in some pretty heavy rain before dinner but we didn’t let it ruin our day.
After dinner we did our shopping and I got my souvenirs! A wedding ornament and a rice crispy 🙂
Once we got back to the hotel we stopped at the Pool Bar and got some drinks then went back to the room to get ready to head back home
We had so much fun – I just wish it was a longer trip! I want to start planning my next trip already!
Thanks for catching up!
Love your matching shirts! Man you made me want to go back to the Germany Pavilion! I just love the smell of the Werther’s Bakery there! Also, it’s so awesome you got to see it all decorated for Fall! Looks like you guys had a blast! 🙂
