November Book Review

It’s time to recap the book I read in November! I can’t believe I just finished book 11 of my 12 book goal this year already. These months are just flying by.

This month I read Necessary Lies by Diane Chamberlain. It takes place in 1960 in North Carolina and focuses on the story of a young welfare worker and two poor families working/living on a tobacco farm.

Let me start out by saying, every girl should read this book. 15 year olds, 20 year olds, I am even going to recommend it to my grandmother because I think every woman would enjoy this book. I don’t want to give too much away but the story this book tells will really get to you. I think even more so because it is historical fiction and the things that these characters deal with in the book, happened to many people in real life and it really touched my heart.

There are some sad parts but everything ties up nicely for the most part and will leave you satisfied at the end!

Please check this book out, I promise you will enjoy it! I also just found out there is also a book the author wrote called First Lies that I also think I am going to read, it is just a short story.

Thanks for catching up, I can’t believe December is just around the corner!
