Well you could say that this year went by FAST. I mean I feel like I was just making my New Year’s goals in January? 2017 was also a pretty big year around here since I spent 9 months of it planning our Wedding and then getting MARRIED. I am so glad that I don’t have stress anymore to be honest, but 2017 was a great year- let’s take a look back at some of the highlights.
This year, Miguel and I continued living in our house that we love in Cedar Rapids that we bought last year and continuing our careers at our current work places. I am on my second year at Rockwell and have been taking on more responsibility as a software engineer and Miguel celebrated 4 years with his company building grain trailers this year and has been traveling a lot more for his job doing repair work.
Our year started out with me picking my wedding dress…
And then a trip skiing and snowboarding – me for the first time!
I got some wonderful pictures for the blog taken too!
We kicked off February watching the Falcons in the Super Bowl.
Going to the casino for Miguel’s birthday…
A little trip to Des Moines to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Miguel’s birthday.
In March, we ran a 5K for St Patrick’s day, and apparently didn’t do much else because this was the only picture I could find!
In April, we enjoyed the Spring weather with some hikes.
I celebrated with this Bride at her Bridal Shower.
We celebrated Easter as well.
Our nephew turned 4 in April as well!
In May we kicked off the warm weather with an Ice Cream trip.
And I celebrated Mother’s Day with my mama.
And Miguel traveled to Mexico for work for the first time.
IN the summer we enjoyed eating out side..
Lounging in our inflatable pool..
Hitting some golf balls.
Boating on the lake..
In July, we spent 4th of July weekend in Madison, WI for a small weekend getaway.
We played some mini golf too.
And enjoyed Ice Cream trips some more.
I ended July with my wonderful bridal Shower.
And bachelorette pool party.
We started August off with my second Bridal Shower in Chicago.
And then celebrated the marriage of these two!
And I ended August going to the Happiest Place on Earth with my sister and cousin to celebrate before I got married.
Over Labor day, we did some craft shopping at Old Threshers.
In September, I decorated my house for Fall.
And we had 4th row seats to a Hawkeye game.
And then on the last day of September, we got Married!!
We spent October enjoying the pretty colored leaves..
And dressing up for Halloween to hand out candy!
We hosted Thanksgiving at our house and I cooked my first turkey.
And we watched Coco in the comfy theater.
December came and our house was decorated for Christmas.
We took our first Christmas Card picture.
I made my annual cookies.
We drove around and looked at the lights.
And we hosted our first Christmas Party!
Then we celebrated Christmas with our families. And my Papa’s 85th birthday.
Oh and I turn 24 on Sunday! Happy almost birthday to me!
