Valentine’s Day Planning Tips and Ideas

With Valentine’s Day only a week away, I thought I would share some ideas to get you into the spirit! Sometimes I feel that we want to celebrate and enjoy holidays but then time goes by so fast that the holiday comes and goes and we feel like we didn’t do near as much as we wanted to to be festive!

And with a smaller holiday like Valentine’s I feel like this can happen even more. So, in order to not let this holiday go by forgotten, here are some ideas to get you in the mood and feeling festive! Because I believe no holiday should go uncelebrated! It’s fun to have something special to look forward to!

First step, decorate! Even if they are small touches, it can make the difference! I don’t have a ton of Valentine’s decor, but what I do have I make sure to put out! Seeing it everyday is sure to get you in the spirit.

Second step, dress the part! I love graphic tees for holidays so I make sure to wear them when the time is right! I love this All You Need Is Love Top. I got it at a boutique a few years ago but there are tons of cute graphic tees out there now too!

Third step, food! Make some cute valentine’s treats. They don’t have to be complicated, like my dipped Oreos I made last year, but anything that is red and pink and sweet is the perfect way to celebrate ahead of the holiday! Make something to snack on all week.

Fourth step, surprise someone special! Miguel and I like to surprise each other with a valentine. They don’t have to be huge gifts, but the thought is what counts. I have made many handmade gifts for Miguel over the years. We usually go for a “gift basket” type theme and they always are fun! The important part here is to plan ahead and start thinking of something to put together that your special someone will enjoy.

With all of that, you are sure to enjoy the holiday of love, so start planning now! Check out more Valentine’s Ideas on my Pinterest board here:
