One Pot Meal #53: Crockpot Italian Chicken and Pasta

Happy Monday! I’m back with a new one pot meal (and finally some pictures with good lighting haha). This one is another one of those dump and bakes in the crockpot. It takes only a total of 5 ingredients (plus seasonings) which makes it as easy as can be. Keep on reading to see.

One Pot Creamy Italian Chicken and Pasta in the Crockpot

What you need

About one pound of chicken (diced)
1 large jar of red pasta sauce
8 oz cream cheese (I used fat free)
Minced garlic (1Tb), minced onion (2Tb), crushed red pepper (1tsp) (optional)
1 box whole wheat penne pasta
1/2 cup chicken broth
Parsley for garnish (optional)

what to do

Place chicken, seasoning, sauce and cream cheese into crockpot with a liner. Cook on high for 2-3 hours until chicken is cooked through (stirring as you see fit). For the last 30 minutes, add your pasta and broth into the crockpot and combine. Cook for 20-30 minutes on low until pasta finished, stirring half way through. Top with parsley and serve.

That’s it! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
