This past weekend I went to Disney World (again) to celebrate my cousin Alexa’s bachelorette! If you remember, we did Disney for my bachelorette as well a couple years ago and it was such a blast that Alexa wanted to go again – I happily agreed to go! And plan it! I’m a big Disney fan and love planning Disney vacations so needless to say I was pumped.
The Details:
-We stayed Thursday-Sunday (3 nights) at the Disney All-Star Music Resort
-There were 5 of us and we got a Family Suite which was basically two rooms put together with a kitchenette and two bath rooms. It worked out great for us.
-We did parks Friday and Saturday and visited all 4 parks in two days (we had a two day park hopper)
-The weather was in the high 80’s most of the time but with sunny skies and minimal rain!
Thursday
I sadly have no pictures from Thursday – but this was travel day for me! We all came from three different towns so we arrived at different times. The Indiana girls got in early and went to Disney Springs and had some Pool time. My sister and I came in later and decorated the room and grabbed a quick dinner at the hotel food court. (I probably have no pictures because it was late and I was getting hangry lol). But that’s okay – we called it a semi-early night to be park ready.
Friday
Friday’s first stop was Hollywood Studios. We hit up some rides, got photos with some characters and ate breakfast at Andy’s Lunchbox in the new Toy Story land. It was my first time seeing it and it was too cute. Other highlights were Rock n Rollercoaster and Frozen’s Sing Along
For the afternoon we headed to Epcot. We were there during the Flower and Garden Festival and all of the topiaries were SO cute. The food and drink booths were also great. I got potato pancakes in Germany and Tortellini in Italy. There was too much good food to choose from. Plus I love walking around the countries. We did some more rides (including some I don’t normally go on which was a fun to do) and we ate dinner in Japan that night! We were all beat so we headed back to the hotel right before park close since we knew Saturday would be even bigger.
Saturday
Saturday we were up and at em early to head to extra magic hours at Animal Kingdom. Our goal was to get to Flight of Passage as early as possible so we didn’t have to wait much. The good news is that our plan worked and we had minimal wait time and basically just had to walk through the queue! (which was awesome compared to our 2 hour wait time last time we went). We ate breakfast at Animal Kingdom and rode Dinosaur (another fave) before headed to Magic Kingdom.
We got to Magic Kingdom earlier than originally planned which was great! We had time for a lot of rides and utilized those afternoon fast passes. We tried to strategize for minimal wait times the whole day and it worked out well. Magic Kingdom is my favorite park! We ate dinner at Tony’s Townsquare Restaurant before heading for more rides, shopping and we got to catch part of the Fireworks show which was really good! We headed back to the hotel shortly after.
Sunday
I had a 3AM wake up call for the Magical Express so I was dead Sunday morning but feeling so happy with our trip.
I truly mean it when I say that this trip was great! I think everyone enjoyed themselves the entire time. Every Disney trip is a little different and that’s why it’s fun to keep coming back.
