This past weekend we drove up to Minneapolis (about 4 hours) on Saturday because we had tickets to watch the Falcons play the Vikings (Miguel is a big Falcons fan and they rarely play in the Midwest so we jumped on the chance to watch them play). We crossed something off of our bucket list as it was both of ours first NFL game! It was a super cool experience, but let’s back up to Saturday.
We left Saturday and I watched the Hawkeyes play on the iPad (because I’m much more of a college football fan) on the way up. Once we got there, we checked into our hotel. We stayed at the JW Marriott that is attached to the Mall of America. I wanted to stay there so I could do some shopping Saturday and it was super convenient being right there. It was also a super nice hotel!
We dropped our stuff off and headed to the mall. I really needed new jeans so we headed to Nordstrom Rack and did some damage. I came out with a pair of Paige and 7 For All Mankind jeans for a fraction of the price of retail. I was pumped. (See my 7 for all mankind jeans I’m wearing below).
Then we dropped our stuff off in our room and headed crossed the street to Hazelwood’s for dinner. It was packed so I’m glad I had reservations. We enjoyed our dinner (lobster bisque and chicken pasta) and finished it off with this Oreo Sunday for dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We called it an early night and Sunday we got up and got ready and checked out and headed downtown. We had reserved a parking spot in a garage close by the stadium but still got there super early to avoid traffic and congestion.
I made brunch reservations at the Bacon Social House about a block from the stadium so we headed there first for some food. Again, this place was packed but we got right in at our 9:30 reservation. I had biscuits and gravy and Miguel had avocado toast.
When it was about 11, we headed towards the stadium to find out seats. This stadium was super cool (it’s pretty new) and so nice. We scored pretty good seats (in the 5th row) and we were luckily surrounded by quite a few other Atlanta fans (which was good because the Falcons did NOT play well lol). People generously took our photo and we took theirs.
Even though we lost, it was still an awesome experience! Can’t wait for more NFL games in the future.
Thanks for catching up!

So glad you enjoyed your time in Minnesota! You should have let us know you were going to be in town so I could have met you! 😉
If you ever come back for shopping, let me know. Also, you have got to get to the outlet mall when you come back because the tax free shopping + outlet prices is ALL the better!
Great post 😄
