Las Vegas 2019 Recap

Hello! We are back from Vegas and I am ready for another trip recap!

We flew out to Vegas last Saturday (after a five hour delay, luckily we knew the night before so we could sleep in, and an upgrade to first class – sometimes having a husband that always travels pays off) and arrive in the middle of the afternoon and checked into the Marriott Grand Chateau.

This hotel was not right on the strip, but was only a block away so it was super easy and convenient to walk to everything from here! We only needed an Uber for to and from the airport (which wasn’t super far either). The hotel was nice and we had a view of the mountains.

We took a quick little nap before cleaning up and getting ready to go out. We walked down the strip and explored a bit before ending up at Caesar’s Palace where we had dinner reservations at Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay’s restaurant). It was really good and we gambled a little bit there as well (I had a really good round on a slot lol) but called it an early night (two hour time difference + flying makes you tired).

On Sunday we got up and got ready for another day of exploring. We walked pretty far down the strip just exploring and going in and out of casinos and resorts until our lunch reservation at Paris at Mon Ami Gabi. I’d heard good things and was excited to try it! They had a prix fix menu for lunch and I loved being able to sample a little bit of everything and it was a great deal too.

We did some more exploring after lunch before heading back to the pool at the hotel for the rest of the afternoon.

My cookie dough snack.

After some pool time, we got dressed again and headed out down the strip the other way than that morning. We ended up at New York New York for dinner and ate out on the patio – it was really good too!

Monday was our anniversary and we grabbed a bite to eat for lunch and then headed to the rooftop pool for the afternoon.

Then we got cleaned up and got ready for our anniversary dinner! We headed to The Aria and had dinner at Carbone and it was amazing! Excellent service and food. So good!

We stayed on the casinos a little longer and I grabbed a cookie at Milk (which I was pretty pumped about).

We called it a night and headed to bed for our early flight the next morning.

We had a great time the first time in Vegas – the weather was unusually “cold” like 70s with no humidity and it was amazing. I highly recommend going when the weather is that nice for sure! lol

Thanks for catching up!
