One Pot Meal #74: Cheeseburger Macaroni

Who else loves Hamburger Helper cheeseburger macaroni? I do! I think hamburger helper is actually where my love of one pot meals started. When I was first cooking my own meals while in college, hamburger helper was a weekly occurrence. I loved the ease of cooking everything in one pot. I started breaking out and making my own one pot meals but hamburger helper is definitely the original. Here’s my take on a homemade cheeseburger macaroni.

One Pot Cheeseburger Macaroni

What you need

One Pound Ground Beef
One Box Elbow Pasta
One Can Beef Broth
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste (or sauce)
3/4 Cup Milk
1-2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
About 2 Tbsp Minced Onion
About 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
About 1 Tsp Paprika
Salt and Pepper to taste

What to dO

Brown ground beef in a large skillet with onion and garlic. Then add your beef broth, tomato paste, milk, paprika and pasta to skillet and combine. Cook on medium low until pasta is done (about 10 minutes or less). Turn off heat and add your cheese and stir until melted.

It doesn’t get much easier than that. It’s a super quick meal that is for sure family- friendly. Enjoy!
