Staying Organized for Christmas

Hi Guys! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I’m trying to get ready for the Holidays, as I am sure many of you are right now! Today, I wanted to share something I do to help keep me organized during this busy season.

I don’t know about you, but if something is organized in writing, I am less likely to forget and more likely to not get too overwhelmed with everything on my to do list. It just makes it more manageable. But that means I have so many lists. And they are everywhere lol. I needed something that kept all of my Christmas things organized in a central location that was easily accessible from anywhere and easy to keep track of year to year.

So I created a google spreadsheet with separate tabs for all of my Christmas lists. It seems so simple but it has made keeping organized super organized. I actually started it last year, and I am so glad I did! It’s perfect because there are a lot of things I want to remember for next year! I’ll go through some page examples and show you why:

Address List – Keep all of the address you need for Christmas cards here! Then you have them each year!

Gift List – Create a tab for the year for who you need to buy gifts for + a budget . Then fill in as you buy what you bought and how much it cost. Then you can stay on budget and you have record of what you bough each year.

Christmas Shopping List – Every year I see Christmas decor in the store and think I need to buy it all (because my decor isn’t out yet) and I forget what I already have. So, last year, after I decorated I went around the house and made a wish list of decor items I wanted/needed to add to my collection. Now this year, those are the only items I am letting myself buy! (They won’t all be bought and I am sure more will be added) I also added things like wrapping paper/gift tags to the list as well.

Christmas Wish List – Family members will start asking for Christmas lists in November, be ready for them by putting anything that comes to mind in your list here!

Christmas Expenses – You could make a separate tab if you wanted to track all of your Christmas expenses by year.

Christmas Entertaining Lists: If you are hosting or entertaining, its a good idea to put your lists in this spread sheet too. Like for menus, guest lists, to-do lists etc.

Trust me, you should start your own Christmas Tracker spreadsheet (in Google or Excel) this year and thank yourself for Christmas seasons to come!

Thanks for catching up!
